JOB SUMMARY:

Profession: RN - Med/Surg

Client: Direct Client

City: Urbana

Duration: 13 weeks (Extendable)

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. 12 hours. 3 days a week.

Duties:

• Perform all responsibilities and duties required by the unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to assure the intergration of information for use by the healthcare team.
• Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops an appropriate plan of care following unit standards that are based on patient and family needs.
• Implements plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures.
• Modifies plan of care based on continuous evaluation.
• Takes responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and/or correcting safety hazards and incidents.
• Communicate with others directly and in private when necessary to resolve issues.
• Offers constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers, and confers with colleagues to expand knowledge base.
• Identifies own learning needs and takes initiative to begin approprite solution.
• Fulfills all requirments pf depatmental competencies.
• Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' health status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document patients' vital signs and progress.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Assist in surgical procedures and post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients.
• Provide health coaching to promote wellness and disease prevention.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience.
• Active license in IL state.
• COVID Vaccinated.
• BLS / CPR Preferred.
